Opera Rosa Alchemica

Scarlett, the author of the treatise Rosa Alchemica, dreams of her transformation into a transcendent being who will discover the depths of beauty and truth. Her friend Carmine invites Scarlett to join the secret Order of the Alchemical Rose. This is an opportunity to get closer to the world of ancient gods and the meaning of secret symbols, without suspecting that peace of soul may be threatened.

The music of the opera Rosa Alchemica was created by composer Krists Auznieks, and the libretto based on motifs of a story by William Butler Yeats was created by Kārlis Vērdiņš. The creative team of the world premiere of this opera includes director Dāvis Sīmanis, set designer Monika Korpa, costume designers Mārīte Mastiņa-Pēterkopa and Rolands Pēterkops, i.e., the fashion brand MAREUNROL’S.
