Baha kamermūzikas festivāls

Sunday, 8. November17:00· Rīga

The concept of the International Bach Chamber Music Festival encompasses several aesthetic and cultural-historical values. Firstly, the interpretation of rarely performed Bach chamber music, works composed by Bach's contemporaries and sons, as well as music inspired by Bach's personality; thus, the festival becomes a cradle of opuses created by contemporaries today - here and now - with increasingly new interpretations resounding within the festival. Secondly, the responsibility for interpretation is always entrusted to world-class performing artists, many of whom are high-caliber specialists in authentic performance. The International Bach Chamber Music Festival is deliberately focused on the intimate, soulful, chamber-like, personal, introverted, affirming the project creators' desire to reveal Bach's oeuvre from its quiet side, thereby proving that even the few sounds in chamber music scores are able to reveal ideas, thoughts, and content just as essential as his large vocal-symphonic forms.
