Kamermūzikas koncerts "Reiha fāze"

Saturday, 3. October19:00· Hanzas Perons, Rīga

Hanzas iela 16a

American composer Steve Reich's milestone birthday will be celebrated over two evenings with the chamber music event "Reiha fāze".

Both evenings, attendees will have the opportunity to experience significant chamber music opuses from various creative periods of the artist. Violinist Marta Spārniņa will perform the work "Vijoles fāze" or 'Violin Phase' (1967) - one of Steve Reich's early works for solo violin and tape, which today, almost 60 years later, has become the clearest testimony of the author's "phasing period". The "Perons Quartet" namely Konstantīns Paturskis (violin), Aleksejs Bahirs (violin), Pēteris Trasuns (viola), and Dace Zālīte-Zilberte (cello) will give the Latvian premiere of the master's dedication to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks - the string quartet 'WTC 9/11' (2010). With conductor Normunds Šnē on the conductor's podium, the musicians of "Sinfonietta Rīga" and 'Perons Percussion' together with pianists Rihards Plešanovs and Evelīna Jēkabsone, as well as a vocal quartet led by Viktorija Majore, will perform the monumental work 'Tehillim' (1981)
