Koncerts "Baroka mūzikas kaislības"

In the concert program "Baroka mūzikas kaislības", the musical handwriting of George Frideric Handel and Tarquinio Merula intertwines. Handel's vocal and instrumental music is peacefully harmonious and praises the beauty and splendor of the world created by God. Meanwhile, Merula's instrumental dances, composed in the ornate Venetian school manner, rather represent the entertainment genre, appealing with dynamism and rhythmic splendor, and allowing musicians to demonstrate virtuosity both as soloists and in ensemble interaction.

The concert features early music experts with extensive international experience – early wind instrumentalist Kristīne Stumbure, violinist Raimonds Melderis, cellist Ainārs Paukšēns, multitalent Pēteris Vaickovskis, as well as versatile singer Inga Šļubovska-Kancēviča and multifaceted percussionist Mikus Bāliņš.
