Vangažu pilsētas svētki "Vangaži – pilsēta TAVA"

On September 19, Vangaži will celebrate the city's 35th anniversary, inviting residents and guests to enjoy a diverse festive program throughout the day. With the motto "Tavi svētki ir šeit! Vangaži – pilsēta TAVA!", concerts, sporting and creative activities, a market, masterclasses and other events for various generations will take place in the city.

The festive day will begin at 9:00 with a service at the Baptist Church, and afterwards a broad festive program will take place in various locations around the city.

9:00 – service at the Baptist Church;

9:30–10:00 – festival "ModināTAVA" by the Cultural Centre;

10:00 – "PankūkoTAVA" by the City Administration;

10:00–11:30 – "RunāTAVA" by the library;

11:00–12:30 – "SkaņoTAVA" and "MāksloTAVA" by the Music and Art School;

11:30 – "PēdoTAVA" beyond the small bridge over Straujupīte;

12:00–13:30 – "CeļoTAVA" by the secondary school;

12:00–15:00 – "PriecināTAVA" by PII "Jancis";

13:00–14:00 – "SportoTAVA" on the section of Gaujas iela by the secondary school;

10:00–14:00 – sporting activities at the sports ground by the secondary school;

11:00–18:00 – beach volleyball by the lake;

14:00–15:00 – actors' concert "Tai pilsētai" by the cultural centre;

15:00–16:30 – "LusteTAVA" – concert of amateur art and interest education groups on the section of Gaujas iela (opposite the cultural centre);

16:30–17:30 – "DarboTAVA" – graffiti masterclass for children by the Graffiti Wall;

17:30 – ceremonial unveiling of the wall graffiti drawing dedicated to Vangaži city's birthday;

18:00 – award ceremony for the winners of the sports games by Vangaži lake;

19:00 – "SvinētTAVA" – opening of the festive evening by the Cultural Centre, Nolark (Ralfs Plēšs);

19:30 – Vangaži city residents' Golden Choir;

20:00–21:30 – concert by the group "ASTRO'N'OUT";

21:30 – festive cake by the cultural centre.

Throughout the day, other activities will also await festival visitors. From 9:00 to 16:30, "TirgoTAVA" will operate – a market of design, crafts and home producers, while from 9:00 to 21:30 by the post office building there will be "GaršoTAVA". From 9:00 to 18:00, "SpēļoTAVA" will operate – a youth tent and activities, as well as "InformēTAVA". During the festival, retro cars will also be on display on Vidzemes iela.
