Filma "Uļa"

The film "Uļa" is an emotional story about identity and belonging, set in 1960s Latvia. Uļa is an Old Believer teenager whose unusual, almost two-metre-tall stature attracts the attention of basketball coaches. She is taken to Riga, where she finds herself in a big city and a professional sports world that are foreign to her. Struggling with inner doubts, the girl soon realises that she must make the most important choice of her life – to hide from the world or to accept herself and become the best basketball player in the world.
