Balets "Žizele"

"Giselle" is one of the first major romantic ballets and one of the few that has survived to the present day.

Against the backdrop of a rural village idyll, the story unfolds about naive girl Giselle's first falling in love - her betrayed love, followed by madness and death, the eerie beauty of the afterlife world with the lovely Wilis - the spirits of dead maidens who force men to dance to their death at night, and love that nevertheless manages to conquer the doom of death.
