Genevieve Lacey is an Australian music icon - she belongs to those truly rare artists who expand perceptions not only of her instrument's possibilities, but also of the listening experience itself.

"Australian Bird Calls" is a collaborative work by Genevieve Lacey, the Latvian Radio Choir, and conductor Kaspars Putniņš, which introduces their Australian tour. In the program, Renaissance, Romantic, and contemporary music intertwine with Australian bird songs. At the center of the concert are new works by Hollis Taylor and Jon Rose, in which human and bird voices form a unified musical dialog across time, cultures, and continents.
