“Vietvārdu meklēšana un izmeklēšana Rencēnu pagastā III”

On 19 September at 10.00 at the Rencēni Parish 1st Library "Searching for and Investigating Place Names in Rencēni Parish III" (hike/trip). Residents of Rencēni Parish, neighbours and other interested parties are invited to go on a hike/trip along the route: Rencēni Parish 1st Library (Pagastmāja) – "Zelti" (Zelti burial site and reservoir) – "Speļģi" (the artist Emīls Melderis' childhood home) – Mūrkrogs (Benjamiņi house) – "Induļi" (viewing of Jānis Trubačs' various collections) – Populis (Popuļsils) – Kancis (Kanču houses, Kanču stone, the site of the Moravian Brethren congregation meeting house before its relocation to Jaunkošķeles) – Smuikas (the kolkhoz "Zelta druva" pig farm) – Mežāres – "Gaisiņi" – Košķeles pusmuiža – "Jaunkošķeles" (the Moravian Brethren congregation meeting house). Participants are asked to think about suitable footwear, raincoats and personal stories of experience and memories that will add to the impressions of what is seen.
