Already this Sunday, September 13, within the framework of Father's Day, 19 structural units of the Vidzeme Regional Administration of the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) from 11.00 to 14.00 will wait for big and small interested persons to jointly remind about safety issues at home, school and also on the road. When to call and when not to call 112, how to act if a car catches fire, as well as correct action if a traffic accident has occurred and other safety issues. Firefighters rescuers have prepared a task that children will be able to complete together with dad, brother, godfather or grandpa. There will also be an opportunity to prepare a Father's Day greeting.

This year, too, visitors will have the opportunity to get into specialized vehicles at the firefighters rescuers, put on the firefighter rescuer protective clothing, as well as learn more about the rescuers' daily equipment.

It should be noted that the celebration of Father's Day with safety elements in the SFRS Vidzeme Regional Administration has been taking place for many years. If at first visitors were expected in the Cēsis unit, later in the Valka unit, then already for the third year on Father's Day all 19 Vidzeme depots will be open – in Cēsis, Valka, Valmiera, Limbaži, Gulbene, Madona and Alūksne, as well as Ape, Smiltene, Jaunpiebalga, Strenči, Mazsalaca, Rūjiena, Aloja, Salacgrīva, Ērgļi, Varakļāni, Lubāna and Cesvaine.
