Opera "Nabuko"

The ideological and philosophical basis of the LNO stage version of Nabucco is time. The theme of time is also felt in the visual solution of the production - it is the course of the sun, the course of the circle of life, the course of the quarters of heaven... But above everything stretches the Highest judgment and evaluation of our actions, thoughts and deeds.

"I can safely say that my career as a composer began with this opera", says G. Verdi. In 1840, after the death of both children and his wife, G. Verdi fell into a severe depression. Only two years later, in 1842, having overcome the internal crisis, the composer turned to work again and wrote "Nabucco". The loud triumph after the performance of "Nabucco" revealed the era of G. Verdi's opera fame.
