Koncerts “Uz Daugavas es dzīvoju”

On September 20 at 18.00 at the Salaspils koncertzāle will take place the concert “Uz Daugavas es dzīvoju”. It will bring together the folk dance groups of the Salaspils kultūras nams, grandly dancing together an audiovisual story about the Daugava, our cultural heritage, the joy of being together and the values that unite those touched by the river of destiny through generations.

Alongside the dance groups, the association “RAXTU RAXTI” will perform, giving an authentic, energetic and musically broad sound.

The concert will feature the youth dance groups “Ūsiņš” and “Austriņš”, the children's dance group “Sienāzītis”, the middle-generation dance group “Ūsiņš” and the dance troupe “Ūsa”, as well as the senior dance group “Rīgava”.

The repertoire will include choreographies from various times and authors – many well-known and beloved stage folk dances, for example, “Es mācēju danci vest”, “Andžiņš”, “Klabdancis”, “Govju kazaks”, “Uz Daugavas es dzīvoju”, “Skaista mana tēvu zeme” and others. Artistic director of the concert – Mārtiņš Pēdājs.
