Kinofilma “UĻA” Skrundas kultūras namā

On October 8 at 19.00 in the large hall of Skrundas kultūras nams, the film "UĻA" will be screened. Ticket price – 3 EUR. Tickets will be available for purchase right before the film screening.

The film "Uļa" is an emotional story about identity and belonging, set in 1960s Latvia. Uļa is a Old Believer teenager whose unusual, almost two-meter-tall stature attracts the attention of basketball coaches. She is taken to Rīga, where she finds herself in a big city foreign to her and in the world of professional sports. Struggling with inner doubts, the girl soon realizes that she must make the most important choice of her life – to hide from the world or to accept herself and become the best basketball player in the world.
