Izstāde "Poētiskais Robotisms. AERO"
22. Aug – 18. Oct· Latvijas Nacionālais mākslas muzejs, Rīga
Jaņa Rozentāla laukums 1
“AERO” is an exhibition in a new form – an interactive installation that activates visitors, focusing on the implementation of live and dynamic art situations. An integral part of “AERO” is the presence of the female artists – Laura Prikule and Eva Vēvere will work on site in the exhibition, using co-creation and performative practices, integrating the expressions of the spectator and the artist into a unified field.
Conceptually, “AERO” addresses the interaction between system and game. The exhibition is designed as a space with an abstract or even absurd structure, outlining an interactive route in which to get lost, using the motif of the “Hero's Journey”.
The visitor experience is shaped with the help of Poetic Robotism methods: automatic actions interacting with the spontaneous, ephemeral, and building bridges between various disciplines. Poetic Robotism is a concept that was discovered in 2009 in the creative dialogue of artists Laura Prikule and Eva Vēvere. It is in constant development as a flow of ideas and a way of perception. It is also a collection of creative practices that, with the help of installations, performances, and texts, explores the boundary between the spontaneous (poetic) and automatic (robotic) aspects of life. Poetic Robotism reflects on the everyday and elusive, using geometric shapes to work with multi-layered ideas. It aims to expand the field of perception by exploring new territories and building bridges between “art” and “non-art”.
