PANNAS TEĀTRIS invites you to a new performance – the comedy “GREIZSIRŽI”. Madness after madness in two parts.

Once upon a time the grass was greener, love was hotter, but jealousy... that never changes! “Pannas Teātris” presents its newest production to the audience's judgment – the comedy “GREIZSIRŽI”. The comedy in two parts created by director Juris Rijnieks and playwright Gunta Kalniņa will soon begin its journey to audiences in Latvia's culture houses and theater stages, gathering an exceptional constellation of actors.

We all know that feeling – once the sea was knee-deep, energy flowed in abundance, and every day was lived like the last. The performance “Greizsirži” invites audiences on an exciting, hilarious, and slightly nostalgic journey, pressing the “rewind” button to the time 20 years ago. It is the day when everything happened like in a fast-forward movie, when people loved to the fullest, at all 200 percent, and when “normal” and “calm” were not yet included in their vocabulary.

If a shy man has finally gathered the courage to invite his beloved woman over and organize a date, it seems – what could possibly go wrong? The correct answer – absolutely everything!

At the center of the performance are two bright and completely different couples, whose lives intertwine in an unexpected and comical vortex of events. On one side – Jans, a painter whose “safe bubble” bursts when he falls head over heels in love with Krista, a married woman. His love manifests as an abnormal outburst of shyness, while Krista is an outwardly perfectly put-together, smart, and disciplined woman who is actually just as confused as everyone else and hides the chaos caused by a crumbling marriage.

On the other side – Roberts and Eva. Roberts is a person who “puts out a fire by pouring gasoline over it” – convinced that love can be maintained with force and loud scenes of jealousy. Meanwhile Eva – “woman-chaos” – runs away from him every time he raises his voice, only to return as soon as he calls.

The performance vividly proves – it is enough just to make a smile to a taxi driver for the bonfire of jealousy to flare up with a new, destructively funny power!

The roles will be played by audience-beloved actors: Aldis Siliņš, Ainārs Ančevskis, Elīna Vāne, Zane Aļļēna, Māris Bezmers, Jānis Skanis, and Reinis Liepkalns will join the team in the role of a police officer.
