Džemmas Sudrabas stāvizrāde “Sieviete, saņemies!”

Woman, pull yourself together! Be well-groomed, but not too much. Take care of yourself, but don't forget others either! Be successful, but not so much that your husband feels threatened! Take care of your family, build a career, keep calm, find time for yourself and, most importantly, stop taking everything so personally!

If it seems that being a woman means participating in a game whose rules keep changing, Džemma Sudraba has something to say about it. In the stand-up show “Sieviete, saņemies!” she speaks with self-irony, bold openness and apt everyday observations about society's expectations, relationships, aging, body, daily life and the countless roles that women have to manage to play in a single day.

Because if you are a woman, you are probably doing something wrong. And if it's impossible to win anyway, all that's left is to have a good laugh about it.
