Dzejas dienas Smiltenes novada bibliotēkās

In September, the annual International Contemporary Poetry Festival "Dzejas dienas" will take place throughout Latvia, which this year will run under the resounding motto "Dzeja dzied". The libraries of Smiltene municipality await this year's festivities with a unifying idea - a joint campaign "Dzejas dzīpari" will take place in the cities and parishes of the municipality.

The basis of the campaign "Dzejas dzīpari" is a symbolic thread of poetry, which in September will weave through every parish and city of Smiltene municipality, giving every resident the opportunity to experience the vibrations and moods of poetry. In each library, this thread will take on a different form and creative expression, but all events will be united by a common story about poetry, its power and presence in our everyday lives.

The events of the campaign in the municipality's libraries will be captured in video, and during September they will be viewable on the official Facebook page of Smiltene municipality library. This will give everyone interested the opportunity to follow the journey of poetry and look into the diverse expressions of "Dzejas dzīpari" throughout the municipality.

The municipality's libraries will offer a diverse programme of events, in which every interested person will be able to find the thread closest to them. Well-known poets, musicians and writers will visit Smiltene municipality and meet with readers. Likewise, various creative and interactive activities will take place in the libraries for both children and adults.
