Diena bez auto

On Saturday, September 19, within the framework of the European Mobility Week, the traditional bicycle ride “Diena bez auto” will take place in Liepāja. Participant registration will start at 11:00 AM near the Liepāja Central Administration building at Rožu iela 6, and the start of the approximately 16 km long bicycle ride will be at 12:00 PM. Accompanied by the police, the route will lead from Liepāja to the waste landfill “Ķīvītes” in Grobiņa parish. At the destination, participants will be awaited by joint soup eating, an educational excursion led by SIA “Liepājas RAS”, the Museum of Unvalued Things, sports activities, and the Ministry of Transport activity program “Citādāka kustība. Drošāka. Ērtāka. Zaļāka.”. To reduce the amount of waste generated at the event, participants are invited to bring a reusable soup bowl and spoon. Before the ride, you must evaluate your strength and check the technical condition of the bicycle. A protective helmet is mandatory for children and youth up to 17 years of age. An organized ride back to Liepāja will not be provided, so each participant must plan their journey home independently.
