The basis of the ballet plot is Henrik Ibsen's famous drama created in 1867: the adventurer and seeker of fortune Peer Gynt returns home as an old man after many adventures in distant parts of the world, where the faithful Solveig has always awaited him. Will love become Peer Gynt's final refuge? Internationally acclaimed Slovenian choreographer Edvard Clug in his contemporary ballet has combined self-irony, absurdity and surrealism with the poetic dreams of Edvard Grieg's captivating melody.
