Sv. Miķeļa svētki Alsungā

From September 25 to 27, Sv. Miķeļa svētki will take place in Alsungas pagasts – one of the most important and large-scale cultural events of 2026. During the three days, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Suiti cultural heritage, attend tradition-rich events, a market and festive concerts.

September 26 program:

07.00 Fishing competition in Alsungas ezers.

09.30 Awakening of Alsunga.

11.00–15.00 Market Festivities in the center of Alsunga (trading, singing, dancing, creative workshops for big and small, lottery).

Throughout the day:

At the school stadium – sports activities.

„Spēlmaņu krogs” will offer Suiti dishes.

At Skolas ielā 6 – opportunity to enjoy cakes and coffee.

„Suitu ķēķis” will prepare a feast that can be enjoyed.

At „Hofmaņu gardumu” sēta – retro vehicle exhibition.

13.00 Kokle players association „Četri vēji” concert in the church.

14.00 At the Craft House – painting exhibition (works by various authors depicting characters in Suiti national costumes).

15.00 In the Palace Hall – concert: vocals – Ance Jankovska, concertmaster – Santa Kauliņa.

16.30 At „Hofmaņu gardumos” – Samanta acoustic concert over a cup of coffee.

17.30 At „Sapņotavā” – Erna Daugaviete cello concert.

19.00 Festive procession with joint singing in the Palace courtyard.

22.00 At Alsungas kultūras namā – dance party with the band „Bez-E”. Admission – 10.00 EUR.
