LATVIJAS ORIENTĒŠANĀS NAKTS 2026

On September 18, see you at the tenth Latvian Orienteering Night - a three-hour rogaining adventure that in its anniversary year will take place simultaneously in 22 Latvian cities!

Orienteering Night is an adventure for everyone - families with children, teams of friends and colleagues, experienced orienteers and also those who want to try orienteering for the first time.

HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?

Gather a team of 2-5 people and receive a competition map with control points before the start. You will have 3 hours to visit control points in an order of your choice and collect as many points as possible.

There is no set distance - you choose your own route, pace and how many control points you want to reach. Movement takes place only on foot.

The competition takes place in four participant groups - Open, Women's, Family and Veteran. Group winners will receive medals, and after the awarding, participants will be awaited by a draw of prizes provided by sponsors.

In the anniversary year, there will also be a special surprise - the first 50 teams that apply and participate in the competition will receive surprise prizes at the finish!

Checking in at control points will take place using the QREvented app, so the team will need a charged mobile phone.

Do not forget - the competition takes place in the dark hours of the day, so take care of flashlights and reflectors.

Latvian Orienteering Night within the framework of European Week of Sport is organized by the Latvian Orienteering Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, Jāņa sēta, Maxima, Dobeles dzirnavnieks and the Latvian Sports Federations Council. The organization of the event is co-financed from state budget funds.
