Summer in grandmother's countryside seems like an eternity to Oskars, yet boredom is averted by a self-crafted wooden telephone that allows him to talk to things. It turns out that grandmother's chair dreams of traveling around the world, a balloon caught in tree branches flirts with the wind, a watering can awaits its cloud parents, and the trash can turns everything into songs. By getting acquainted with the things found in grandmother's house, Oskars' summer turns into a true adventure.

“Oskars un lietas” is a family story about the power of imagination, overcoming loneliness, growing up, friendship, saying goodbye, and the miracles that happen when we are ready to hear one another.
