Kultūrtelpā “Akustika” viesosies Guntis Veits

On Saturday, September 26, at 18.00, the cultural space “Akustika” will host Guntis Veits, the voice of the band “Credo”.

Inviting to an evening featuring both well-known “Credo” songs and music created by Guntis Veits himself.

“Credo” has been on the Latvian music scene for more than half a century. Last year, the band celebrated its 50th anniversary and received the Grand Music Award for lifetime contribution to Latvian music. This time, Guntis Veits will perform for the audience in a solo program, allowing the songs to be heard in a different, more personal close-up.

The concert will feature songs by Raimonds Pauls that were once created specifically for “Credo” – “Meitene ar kallu ziediem”, “Kad nekas nav palicis tevī” and others –, as well as compositions by Guntis Veits “Neko nevar skaidri zināt”, “Lido”, “Ko tu dungo savā kabatā” and other works familiar to the audience.

The stage of “Akustika” will offer an opportunity to hear these songs particularly close for this evening – without unnecessary distance between the performer and the listener. Familiar melodies, live presence, and music that over the years has become part of our shared memory.
