PANNAS TEĀTRIS invites you to a new performance – the comedy "GREIZSIRŽI"

Once the grass was greener, love was hotter, but jealousy... that never changes! "Pannas Teātris" presents its latest production to the audience's judgment – the comedy "GREIZSIRŽI". Created by director Juris Rijnieks and playwright Gunta Kalniņa, the comedy in two parts will soon start its journey to audiences in cultural houses and theatre stages across Latvia, gathering an exceptional constellation of actors.

We all know that feeling – once the sea was up to our knees, energy flowed in abundance and every day was lived as if it were the last. The performance "Greizsirži" invites the audience on a fascinating, hilarious and slightly nostalgic journey, pressing the "rewind" button to a time 20 years ago. This is a day when everything happened like in a fast-forward movie, when people loved to the fullest, at all 200 percent, and when "normal" and "calm" were not yet included in their vocabulary.

If a shy man has finally gathered the courage to invite the woman of his interest over and organize a date, it seems – what could possibly go wrong? The correct answer – absolutely everything!

At the center of the performance are two bright and completely different couples, whose lives intertwine in an unexpected and comical whirlpool of events. On one hand – Jans, a painter whose "safe bubble" bursts when he falls head over heels in love with Krista, a married woman. His love manifests as an abnormal outburst of shyness, while Krista is an outwardly perfectly put-together, smart and disciplined woman who is actually just as confused as everyone else and hides the chaos caused by a crumbling marriage.

On the other hand – Roberts and Eva. Roberts is a person who "puts out a fire by pouring gasoline on top" – convinced that love can be maintained with force and loud scenes of jealousy. Meanwhile Eva – "woman-chaos" – runs away from him every time he raises his voice, only to return as soon as he calls.

The performance vividly proves – just one smile to a taxi driver is enough for the fire of jealousy to flare up with a new, destructively funny force!

Roles will be played by audience-favourite actors: Aldis Siliņš, Ainārs Ančevskis, Elīna Vāne, Zane Aļļēna, Māris Bezmers, Jānis Skanis, and Reinis Liepkalns will join the team in the role of a policeman.
