Grupas “bet bet” jubilejas koncerts

Following the successfully held and well-attended 35th anniversary summer concerts of the group “bet bet”, which were based on the songs of this year's great celebrant – Maestro Raimonds Pauls, starting from October 10, the group's concert tour will continue in the largest concert halls of Latvia: on November 14 at 19.00 at the Valmiera Culture Center.

Also in these concerts, both the beloved songs “Nepārmet man”, “Mazs cinītis”, “Mežrozīte”, “Mēmā dziesma”, “Dziesmiņa par dzīvošanu”, “Kamēr svecītes deg”, “Vasara nebeigsies nekad”, etc., and pieces from Raimonds Pauls and Jānis Peters' song cycle “Pērļu zvejnieks” will be performed; as well as the legendary songs “Laternu stundā” and “Viss nāk un aiziet tālumā” newly learned specifically for this tour. The program also includes several songs with lyrics by group member Guntars Račs.

“Raimonds Pauls' music has always had a special place in our repertoire, moreover, in these 35 years four albums with his pieces have been created: “Nepārmet man”, “Leģenda par Zaļo Jumpravu”, “Pērļu zvejnieks” and “Vasara nebeigsies nekad”, while “Mēmā dziesma” in our version has been one of the most played songs on Latvian radio stations for many years, moreover, last year it became the most frequently played song on the air of Latvian Radio 2, and it is regularly played on other stations as well,” the musicians say, emphasizing: the autumn concerts also promise to be melodic, energetic and emotional – like an encounter with time-tested Latvian popular music classics.
