The exhibited works were created from 1996 to 2026. The works created in different periods of life reveal changing moods, experiences and searches.
The exhibition "Saknes. Ragi. Spārni." is the author's visual story about human nature, in which three primary elements collide and coexist - stability, strength and transformation. In her works, Anda Sīmane-Gudriniece explores the boundary between the rational and the intuitive, creating a technically multi-layered and materially diverse language of expression. The artist paints, draws and sculpts using various materials. The exhibition displays paintings, collages and Steampunk-style objects.
Anda Sīmane-Gudriniece's first contact with the art world took place in Carnikava - in the workshop of her parents, Jānis and Gunda. Since 1984, the Sīmaņi family has lived in Valka. Anda perfected her drawing and painting skills in the studio of the Valka Art School under Maruta Stabulniece. Later followed studies in Rīga, where she acquired the profession of leather designer, as well as visual arts and cultural history teacher.
A. Sīmane-Gudriniece has worked as an art teacher in several educational institutions in Rīga and Valka. Currently she is a museum pedagogue at the Valka Local History Museum.
A. Sīmane-Gudriniece has participated in exhibitions since 1996. Her solo exhibitions have taken place in Limbaži, Rīga, Valka and Ropaži. The artist has also exhibited her works in group exhibitions in various places in Latvia.
