“Ideju skrejceļš” in Piņķi

How to get involved in the development of your municipality? How to ensure that residents' opinions are heard? And how to turn good ideas into real actions? To jointly seek answers to these and other questions, on 22 September at 18:00, residents of Mārupe Municipality are invited to the discussion event “Ideju skrejceļš”, which will take place in the Small Hall of Babītes Kultūrizglītības centrs, Piņķi, Jūrmalas iela 14A.

The aim of the event is to involve residents in participating in the municipality's development issues, express their opinion and share ideas that can help create a better living environment and strengthen local communities. During the event, in an informal and open atmosphere, under the guidance of experienced experts and community representatives, participants will be able to learn about opportunities to implement their own ideas, get involved in the development of the neighbourhood, strengthen the community and build cooperation with other residents and the municipality.

Special attention will also be paid to resident participation – the discussion will seek answers to the questions of whether our voice is heard, how to promote more active resident participation and how to build a safe and resilient community. In the practical workshop, participants in small groups will look for creative solutions to real neighbourhood challenges and jointly create a visualization of ideas.

18:00 - 18:05 | What can we achieve ourselves? (Alīna Lukjanceva, association “Pierīgas Partnerība) Inspiring examples from Mārupe Municipality and opportunities to receive support for implementing and developing your ideas.

18:05–18:15 | Your voice in neighbourhood development – how can residents get involved? (Representative of the Mārupes novada apkaimju iedzīvotāju konsultatīvā padome) About opportunities to get involved in the work of the Apkaimju iedzīvotāju konsultatīvā padome and, together with other residents, influence the development of your neighbourhood.

18:15–18:35 | Community in action in everyday life and crises: the experience story of Čiekurkalns (Sandra Feldmane, association “Latvijas Pilsoniskā alianse” and participant of the community support programme “Drošās kopienas” from Jaunburtnieki, Mārupe Municipality) A strong community is formed by people who know each other, cooperate and are ready to help both in everyday life and in crisis situations. In this discussion you will learn how community initiatives strengthen security, cohesion and resident participation.

18:35–18:50 | From idea to result – what helps ideas come true? (Kristīne Kode, association “Idea”) About how to turn good ideas into real actions and results that benefit the wider community. A practical experience story about what helps ideas develop and reach implementation.

18:50–19:30 | Discussion and compilation of residents' proposals (Is our voice heard? How to promote more active resident participation? How to build a safe and resilient community?)

19:30–20:30 | Practical workshop “Drosmīgas idejas Tavai apkaimei” (Elīna Tiliba, inner leadership and team coach) In small groups we will look for creative solutions to real neighbourhood challenges. At the end of the workshop, we will compile the ideas into a unified visualization.

We invite residents of Mārupe Municipality to take the opportunity to meet, share their ideas and jointly seek solutions for the development of the municipality and neighbourhoods. Participation in the event is an opportunity not only to express your opinion, but also to learn how to turn it into concrete action.

“Ideju skrejceļš” is part of a series of events that in August also takes place on 27 August at 18:00 in Olaines novads, Zeiferti, Jaunolaine, while on 29 August at 15:00 in Ķekavas novads, Depkina muiža, Rāmava.

The event is implemented in the project “KOpienu Pārdomāta Attīstība (KOPA)”, implemented by the associations “Pierīgas partnerība” and “Partnerība “Daugavkrasts””. The project is financially supported by the Sabiedrības integrācijas fonds from the funds of the Latvian state budget.
