The play "Glābjas, kas var..." (in the original language “Run for your wife”) by the world-famous English comedy master Ray Cooney is going out to audiences all over Latvia and Skrīveri. The productions of the master of farce make millions of viewers around the world laugh to tears, and this play is no exception! “Glābjas, kas var…” is a work highly praised by critics and audiences alike, for which the author has received awards not only in Europe. Based on this comedy, screenplays have been created for films shown on screens in many parts of the world. Moreover, this very comedy is still considered the longest-running production in the famous London West End theatre.

On stage together, John Smith's story will be brought to life by stage personalities who need no introduction – crime series star Andris Daugaviņš, great actors - Lelde Dreimane, Rihards Lepers, Linda Kalniņa, Jānis Jarāns, Edgars Lipors or Valdis Pavlovskis, as well as director Valdis Pavlovskis and comedian Edgars Bāliņš.

Since the plot of the comedy is relevant at all times and places, it is very likely that behind these colorful characters, viewers will be able to recognize some of their friends or acquaintances. At the same time, the comically absurd situations will allow you to forget your daily worries and follow events that will be unpredictable.

The main character of the plot is taxi driver John Smith (Andris Daugaviņš).

John drove passengers both day and, of course, also at night according to a previously strictly drawn up schedule. Nothing special - you will say? That is exactly where the main intrigue begins! Because John was not like the other colleagues – he simultaneously lived two parallel lives, staying in two different places of residence with two completely different wives (Lelde Dreimane and Linda Kalniņa)! All this is possible, of course, if you stick to a strictly drawn up schedule. It would have continued like this forever, without raising the slightest suspicion, had resourceful John Smith not gotten into a fight, as a result of which his head was severely injured, and Smith woke up in the hospital. The world included in the strict schedule began to fall apart at the seams rapidly! To save his skin, Smith tangled himself in trying to explain the situation to both wives. The mountain of lies kept growing. Coming to the aid of a friend, Smith's friend and neighbor (Rihards Lepers) stepped in with his mischief. But the situation became even crazier! Meanwhile, to complicate matters further, even police officers (Jānis Jarāns and Valdis Pavlovskis) get involved in the investigation. Now the only thing left to do is save yourself! But perhaps there is still hope to find a way out? Spectators will be able to find out by coming to the performance.

The performance has been staged for Latvian audiences by director Valdis Pavlovskis and producer Jānis Kļaviņš.

Save yourself... No, run for your life! You have to see this!
