On September 26, the Viļāni Sports Hall will host the second puzzle speed-solving competition in Latgale, inviting puzzle enthusiasts to test their speed, patience and skill both individually and in pairs.

The competition will take place in two categories:

individual category – starts at 10.30.

paairs category – starts at 13.30.

This year, participants in each category will be divided into two skill groups – "Patient Solvers" and "Fast Solvers". The "Patient Solvers" group is invited to participate those who usually assemble a 500-piece puzzle individually in 1 hour and 20 minutes or longer, and in pairs – in 1 hour or longer, as well as those who will participate in the puzzle speed-solving competition for the first time. Meanwhile, the "Fast Solvers" group is intended for more experienced and faster participants.

Each individual participant or pair will be issued a new 500-piece puzzle, which must be assembled within the allotted time. If the entire puzzle cannot be completed, the number of assembled pieces will be taken into account when determining the result. After the competition, the puzzles will remain with the participants, and everyone will also receive a commemorative prize.

Between the individual and pairs competitions, a puzzle exchange table will operate, where participants will have the opportunity to exchange their puzzles.

The participation fee in the individual category is 10.00 EUR, while in the pairs category – 15.00 EUR per pair (7.50 EUR for each participant). Participation in the competition is confirmed after making the participation fee.

The competition is organized by puzzle enthusiasts with the aim of popularizing this mind and patience sport also in Latgale.
