Sunday, 20. September08:00· Iecavas kultūras nams, Iecava

Free

Residents of Bauskas novads are invited to participate in a free health check and training in the use of self-monitoring devices, which will take place on 20 September from 8.00 to 12.00 at Iecavas kultūras nams.

During the event it will be possible to:

measure height, weight and body composition with bioimpedance scales;

determine blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation in the blood;

perform rapid blood tests;

receive a brief consultation from a medical practitioner about the significance of health indicators, disease prevention and self-monitoring opportunities in everyday life.

You must arrive for the examinations on an empty stomach - at least 6 hours after the last meal.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The aim of the event is to promote residents' understanding of the significance of health indicators, timely recognition of disease risk factors and the importance of regular monitoring of health status.

It should be noted that the rapid tests and measurements performed help to identify possible health risk factors, but they do not determine a precise diagnosis and do not replace a visit to a doctor or in-depth medical examinations. If the results obtained are concerning or unusual, it is recommended to contact a family doctor or another medical specialist.

If you feel disease symptoms or your well-being is not good, please refrain from attending the event.

The examinations are provided by Latvijas Pacientu un veselības nevalstisko organizāciju atbalsta centrs.
