Sunday, 20. September· all day

We invite the entire Big Cleanup family to prepare for the World Cleanup Day, which has been included in the UN Internationally Observed Days calendar for the second year in a row, on September 20!

In Latvia, we mainly implement it by planting Trees of Happiness, and this year also with the opening of the 10th Tree of Happiness Park in one of Latvia's locations, but we also invite you to clean water bodies, care for the Baltic Sea, and engage in other environmentally friendly activities, being together on this day with volunteers from other countries of the world in our noble mission to make this world cleaner and more beautiful.

The example of volunteers from Latvia and the Baltic States, who since 2008 have been cleaning up and beautifying their land, has become a source of international inspiration – in 2018, this inspiration culminated in the establishment of World Cleanup Day. This movement has now involved 211 countries of the world!

It is precisely our determination, work organization, self-organization, and unity for a good cause for the benefit of the community and the entire land that has produced this result. Since the first World Cleanup Day, Latvia has presented itself with the Tree of Happiness and Tree of Happiness Park initiative, planting future mighty trees with special good wishes for one's family, city, municipality, Latvia, and the planet. This is a unique initiative among all 211 countries. Thus, we continue the work started by the Big Cleanup in spring – in clean land we plant the future, we are an inspiration to ourselves and the world!
