Kultūras tūrisma maršruts “Noķer Ziedoni”

An interactive journey through the paths of poet Imants Ziedonis' childhood and youth days in Jūrmala – Sloka, Kauguri, Ķemeri –, Lapmežciems, Ragaciems, Engure and Tukums. Travelers can learn about the poet's connection with the area or object included in the route by scanning the QR code at each stop and listening to readings of excerpts from Imants Ziedonis' works, facts about his life path and memories about the poet.

The total length of the route is 111 kilometers, and the circular route includes 17 stops. Every traveler can choose how to take this journey - ride a bicycle, motorcycle, car or, planning a longer holiday, walk Ziedonis' paths on foot.

The interactive part of the route is a crossword puzzle containing 17 questions - one question at each of the stops. Answers to the questions can be found by scanning the QR code on your smartphone at the stop marked on the route map and listening to the audio recording corresponding to the specific section of the road or watching the video material.

The stops of the Jūrmala section are Sloka Library, Kauguri Cultural House, Ķemeri Water Tower and Imants Ziedonis Ķemeri Library.
