Koncerts "Čigānu sapņi"

Vecpilsētas laukums 3, Jēkabpils
12. septembrī plkst. 18.00 Jēkabpils Tautas Nams will open its doors for the concert “ČIGĀNU SAPŅI”.
Gypsy music knows no borders and maps. It was born on the road — where cart wheels leave traces on dusty roads, where bonfires warm travelers and stars become the only roof overhead. It has everything: quiet sadness, depth, sincerity, and sudden joy like a sunbeam breaking through morning clouds.
“ČIGĀNU SAPŅI” — it is a declaration of love without words, a story about destiny sung from the heart. Melodies can start with a shy, almost whispering motif, but a moment later turn into a storm of rhythm and sound, carrying along and leaving warmth and a pleasant aftertaste in the soul.
On this evening, both beloved, widely known songs and rarely heard melodies will be performed live and with true heart passion.
Three experienced artists, well known to the public and beloved for their professionalism and talent, will participate in the concert:
RAISA KOPIĻENKO — representative of the famous musician dynasty KOPIĻENKO. Her grandfather Andrei Kopeylenko founded the music collective AME ROMA in Ukraine in 1934. Her father Artur Kopeylenko continued the family work and became a prominent musician both in Latvia and beyond. Currently, Raisa is the leader of the Gypsy show group AME ROMA. A wonderful singer with a voice in which life experience, femininity, and quiet strength can be heard. Her singing is always beauty and sincerity.
RINO RUDEVIČS — Raisa's son, representing two legendary Latvian Roma families — Kopeylenko and Rudevičs. An outstanding musician in the fourth generation, an exceptional guitarist, and the true voice of the Gypsies.
ALEKSEJS KOĻESŅIKOVS — a well-known virtuoso violinist who plays music of various styles, laureate of international competitions, an outstanding violin improviser, participant in television shows and international festivals. The sound of his violin leaves no one indifferent and is able to reach the deepest strings of the soul.
The atmosphere of Jēkabpils Tautas Nams will allow you to hear every nuance of sound and feel that the music is directed precisely at you.
“ČIGĀNU SAPŅI” — it will be an evening without distance between the stage and the hall, only music, light, and the breath of a living moment.
Recommended for those who appreciate the chamber music atmosphere, authentic sound, and depth of the soul.
Event languages: Latvian, Gypsy, Russian.
Duration: up to 1.5 hours (without intermission).
The event will be photographed and filmed. Photo and video materials may be published for public access on social networks and websites, and also become available to the general public in other ways.
