Annotation :
The film “Uļa” is an emotional biographical story about identity, courage and the search for belonging in 1960s Latvia. Due to her unusually tall stature, Uļa, an Old Believer teenager, enters the world of professional basketball in Rīga, where she has to overcome loneliness, inner doubts and the prejudices of those around her. On the path to fulfilling her dream, Uļa must make a life-changing choice – to hide from the world or to accept herself and become an outstanding athlete.
