What happens when a solid Selonian lad, while studying at the University of Agriculture, falls in love with a Latgalian girl, decides to marry her and settle down in Latgale? To his father – a true Selonian with a firm backbone and even firmer views – such a decision by his son is by no means to his liking!

Thus begins a series of humour, misunderstandings, witty conversations and merry events, in which the characters, customs and life wisdom of Selonia and Latgale collide.

But behind the laughter and merriment hides a simple, beautiful truth – it does not matter whether you are a Selonian, a Latgalian, a Curonian or a Livonian. The most important thing is – are you a human being!

"Nāk rudentiņis" – a heartfelt, cheerful and joyful play about love, family, belonging and what truly unites us all.
