Ekskursija “Jelgavas cietums toreiz un tagad” kopā ar gidi Ingu Piļāni

In the two-hour walk, participants will go behind the walls of the Jelgava prison to get acquainted with one of Latvia's oldest places of imprisonment and its more than a century-long history. During the excursion, it will be possible to walk around the prison territory, view its historical buildings, as well as learn about the various stages of development of the prison, events, and personalities whose Fates have been closely connected with this place. The excursion will be interesting for anyone who is interested in Latvian history, architecture, and lesser-known places of Jelgava.

Participation fee for adults 8.00 EUR, for students and pensioners – 5.00 EUR, preschool children free. For children up to 16 years of age, excursion visit only accompanied by parents. The fee for participation must be made before the excursion/hike at the Jelgava Regional Tourism Centre (Akadēmijas iela 1), keeping the payment document.
