Ekskursija “Jelgavas cietums toreiz un tagad” kopā ar gidi Ingu Piļāni

During the two-hour walk, participants will go behind the walls of the Jelgava prison to get acquainted with one of Latvia's oldest places of imprisonment and its history spanning more than a century. During the tour, it will be possible to walk around the prison territory, view its historical buildings, as well as learn about the various stages of the prison's development, events and personalities whose fates have been closely connected with this place. The tour will be interesting for anyone interested in Latvian history, architecture and lesser-known places of Jelgava.

Participation fee for adults 8.00 EUR, students, pupils and seniors – 5.00 EUR, preschool children free of charge. For children up to 16 years of age, visiting the tour is only accompanied by parents. The participation fee must be paid before the tour/hike at the Jelgava Regional Tourism Center (Akadēmijas iela 1), keeping the payment document. The number of participants in the tour is limited.
