On Sunday, September 13, Lūznava Manor in Rēzekne municipality will invite to events dedicated to the European Heritage Days, drawing attention to this year's theme “Cultural Heritage: Crises and Solutions”. The program of the day will offer an opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of the manor, participate in a cross-generational masterclass, visit exhibitions, enjoy art and lunch at a charity pop-up café, as well as listen to a presentation, a lecture, and discuss the preservation of cultural heritage and action in crisis situations.

From 10.00 to 18.00, the Open Doors Day at Lūznava Manor will take place, inviting both local residents and guests to get acquainted with the history, architecture, and cultural-historical values of the manor. Visitors will also have the opportunity to view the historical exhibition “Kerbedz Cabinet” (audio story available) and the permanent interactive exhibition “Kerbedzs: Following Engineering Ideas”.

A special event of the day will be the cross-generational masterclass “Pavlova's Sweet Story” together with cake master Eleonora Matule, taking place from 10.00 to 12.00. The idea of the masterclass is to bring together participants of different generations – children, young families, and seniors, to work together, get acquainted, and, if necessary, help each other. The masterclass will allow experiencing cultural heritage together – as an experience that brings people from different generations together and strengthens community ties.

From 11.00 to 17.00, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at the charity pop-up café “Smalkais stils” (for donations). The charitable goal is the creation of tactile and audio materials for Lūznava Manor, making the manor more accessible to people with functional disabilities.

The central event of the day will be the lecture and discussion “Cultural Heritage in Crisis Situations: How to Act and How to Prepare?” scheduled for 12.00. Kristīne Skrīvere, Director of the War Museum of Latvia and member of the Museum Council of Latvia, will share her experience and knowledge.

Managers and administrators of cultural heritage objects, representatives of municipalities and cultural institutions, museum and library specialists, as well as any interested parties are especially invited to the conversation. The discussion will highlight issues regarding actions in crisis situations, preparedness for potential risks, and the preservation of cultural values.

Meanwhile, at 13.00, Monta Vecozola's presentation “Cultural Heritage and the Importance of Civil Protection in Case of a Threat” will take place, focusing on the significance of cultural heritage and civil protection in situations where cultural values may be endangered.

A significant place in the Heritage Days program is also given to art; at 14.00, an exhibition of graphic works “Colorful Footprints” by Lithuanian artist Renata Kutkienė will be opened at Lūznava Manor.

The European Heritage Days annually invite people to pay attention to historical buildings, places, traditions, and stories that form our common cultural space. At Lūznava Manor, this day will be an opportunity to discover heritage in various ways – to view and explore, work together, enjoy art, meet in conversations, and pay attention to how to act in order to protect cultural values in crisis situations.
