The State Blood Donor Centre will travel to donors in Talsi every month. Donor Days in Talsi have already become a long-standing tradition, and last year the State Blood Donor Centre visited our city every month. It is an opportunity to increase the number of donors, thereby obtaining the blood so necessary for the lives of fellow citizens.

Also this year the State Blood Donor Centre will come to Talsi once a month.

By donating blood, a person helps not only others but also themselves. It is an opportunity to stimulate the blood-forming system in the body, renewing the blood composition, to get sick less often with acute and chronic diseases, to find out the pulse, blood pressure and haemoglobin level, to receive test results, after applying for them beforehand with the registrar.

Please pay attention:

between blood donation times, a full 9 weeks must pass for men and 13 full weeks for women;

within a 12-month period, women may donate blood 4 times;

within a 12-month period, men may donate blood up to 6 times (moreover, after the 6th time, men must observe a 3-month break).
