Break-dance turnīrs "Skill Deal 2026"

This year's tournament will have special significance as it will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Daugavpils breaking school “Factory Kingz”. Founded in 2006, over the years its students have represented Daugavpils in various levels of competitions in Latvia and abroad, accumulated international experience, and continued to develop the breaking culture in the city. “Skill Deal 2026” will combine the festive anniversary mood, high-level competition, and experience exchange between dancers of different generations.

In breaking battles, dancers take turns entering the dance floor, demonstrating their technique, musicality, originality, improvisation skills, and ability to react to the opponent's performance. Therefore, each battle is unique, and its outcome cannot be predicted in advance.

Professionals will compete in “2 vs 2” partner battles, young breakers in the U-17 group will compete in “1 vs 1” individual battles, while children's partner competitions are scheduled for the U-12 and U-8 age groups. Winners of the professional category will receive a cash prize. The winner of the U-17 group will receive a cash prize and a spot among the top 64 participants in the 2027 “World Kidz Breaking Championship” in Slovenia. Trophies, diplomas, and commemorative prizes are planned for the best dancers of the younger age groups.

One of the special guests of the tournament will be Hiro10 from Japan. He represented his country at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where breaking debuted in the Olympic program. Hiro10 is one of the internationally recognized young generation breakers, and in Daugavpils, he will be one of the tournament judges.

The competitions will be judged by Hiro10 from Japan, Mighty Jake from Venezuela, and Stefani from Ukraine. Several internationally known duets have also been invited to the professional battles: Smile and Lotus from Switzerland, Chorzel and Monster from Poland, Edgar and Moras from Latvia, as well as Nicka and Drama from Lithuania.

The musical arrangement of the tournament will be handled by Funky DJ Elegant and Crashfader Dee from Latvia, as well as Tomche from Lithuania. The event will be hosted by Remo from Switzerland and An-Juicy, i.e., Andžejs Začiņajevs from Latvia, who is also the main organizer of the tournament.

“Skill Deal” has already secured an important place in the Daugavpils sports events calendar. In January 2026, the previous tournament “Skill Deal 2025”, which became the largest event of its kind in Latvia, received the Daugavpils Sports Award of the Year in the nomination “Sports Event of the Year”.

The tournament is organized by the association “Factory Kingz” in cooperation with the Daugavpils City Municipality and the Daugavpils City Education, Youth, and Sports Department.

The competitions will take place at J. Pilsudskis Daugavpils State Polish Gymnasium at Marijas Street 1E. The organizers invite experienced breaking enthusiasts, families with children, and anyone who wants to experience this sport and dance form in person for the first time to attend the tournament. “Skill Deal 2026” will be an opportunity to witness the mastery of the highest international level breakers, support young dancers, enjoy the energy of the competition, and celebrate the school's 20th anniversary together with “Factory Kingz”.
