On 19 September, from 10.00, we invite everyone who wants to buy and sell to the traditional "Borovys tiergu" in Malta!

Event programme

A journey through the world of flavours. Creative masterclasses during which gastronomic paintings and mandalas will be created. The masterclasses will be offered by the applied arts group “Darboties prieks” of the Malta parish cultural centre and Eleonora Matule, owner of "Muižas Kūkas". In the masterclass we will try something not yet seen in Latvia – the creation of an edible canvas, where art, culinary art and aesthetic enjoyment will meet in several gastronomic paintings.

Concert of amateur art groups. The artistic atmosphere of the event will be taken care of by the groups of the Malta parish cultural centre – the women's vocal ensemble "Kalinuška", the applied arts group “Darboties prieks”, the folklore group "Andeļneicys", the line dance group "Pieneņpūka", as well as guests – the Viļāni cultural centre chapel "Bumburneicys", the Viļāni cultural centre youth dance group "Austra", the Viļāni cultural centre amateur theatre "Kas ir, tas ir", the Viļāni cultural centre Russian amateur theatre “Horoshee nastroenie”, the Lūznavas muiža quadrille dance group “Lūznovys kadriļs” and the Daugavpils Jewish community.

Pony and horse-drawn carriage rides (paid service - 2.00 EUR per ride).

During the market, there will be an opportunity not only to purchase various goods, but also to take part in an auction and lottery, where valuable prizes can be won!
