The State Blood Donor Centre (VADC) is organising a visit to Līvāni.

When donating blood, bring: a passport, eID card or any other identity document, as well as your account number.

To ensure the blood is suitable for transfusion, please eat a healthy diet and drink enough fluids (at least 1.5l) on the day before the procedure and on the day of blood donation. Fatty or chylous blood cannot be tested and transfused to a patient. The day before blood donation, we recommend eating more root vegetables and fruits. It is not recommended to eat fried, peppery, fatty foods, or to use any alcohol (including beer), medications, including aspirin. Please follow these rules so that the patient receives full-quality donor blood components!

VADC reminds that a person aged 18 to 65 can become a blood donor. Body weight must be over 50 kg. Blood donation is not advisable after a night shift, intense work or emotional stress. You must bring an identity document (passport or ID card) and a bank account number.
